Socialism, mining and migration are all topics that continue to have an impact from the past into the present. They are important in Chemnitz, but also in Ústí nad Labem and České Budějovice in the Czech Republic, Wrocław in Poland and Lviv in Ukraine. These topics will be explored in over 20 multinational readings, concerts and film evenings. As well as readings with well-known authors such as Jaroslav Rudiš, newcomers will also present their drafts from biographical literature workshops. Olga Tokarczuk, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, is expected to visit Chemnitz for a reading.
