If you put your mobile phone in flight mode, it can fly. It just doesn’t want to most of the time, because it’s so nice and warm in your trouser pocket. Children see the world differently to adults, and it is time to learn from them, say the people at the Makerhub Augustusburg. The Lehngericht, the oldest building in the city, has been home to a com- munity digital studio since 2019. Here, people think outside the box, combine craft techniques with digital technologies and create all kinds of surprising things in the workshops. In 2025, children will take centre stage and »Just let them make things« will be the motto. They will be able to experiment – with food or unicorns or whatever else they can find.
