The Questions

Intergenerational encounters

I: Mathilde Schliebe"

This multi-part project creates intergenerational encounters through performance, dialogue, and cultural exchange. Artists Quarantine focuses on international collaboration between the twin cities of Manchester and Chemnitz. In the Building of Spines section, an artist and an author create a book containing conversations with people in the city library by hand within seven days. Would Like to Meet brings together different generations of artists from Chemnitz and Manchester. And »Telescope« is a new performance work with no actors. The central question teenagers and seniors ask each other is: What can you teach me? An investigation of social di- vision, THE QUESTIONS creates relationships and networks between people, places, artists, and institutions – across generations.
