In democracies, almost everything is covered by artistic freedom. But today, as in the past, the song is a means of ensuring unity in resistance to dictatorship. And songs against oppression are international. The HEART CHOR from Annaberg-Buchholz and Septem Cantet from Klášterec nad Ohří found these thematic similarities in the repertoire of resistance songs across borders. They searched for songs from their region, reflected together on historical contexts and discovered the song and cultural heritage of European border regions. They rehearsed in the Sayda youth hostel. The 28 singers presented the results of their work in a joint concert at the Chemnitz Industrial Museum.
