HAT FESTIVAL
The festival for street art
Anyone who plays music, juggles or performs acrobatics in the pedestrian zones of this world hopes their audience will make a voluntary contribution in a hat going round. Hence the name of the festival. For three days, street artists from 20 nations will transform the streets and squares of Chemnitz city centre into an open-air stage filled with live music, clowning, circus acts, jug- gling, fire shows, walk acts, art and street food. If you’re stopping by, feel free to wear a hat yourself – and to tip it to friends and guests out of respect for one another.
Programme
The streets of Chemnitz city centre, from Rosenhof to Stadthallenpark, invite you to stroll and discover. Of course, the right hat is a must: A market of beautiful things with selected products and unique items invites you to browse. The entire programme is available in print on site and, of course, digitally for your smartphone.
