Planting Festival: Harvest
Autumn 2025
The Harvest PLANTING FESTIVAL will focus on planting apple trees and host recipe swaps, events on the art of gathering fruit, and the longest apple cake parade in the city. The week of planting campaigns in the framework of the project LIVING NEIGHBOURHOODS will conclude with the International Pomologists Meeting in cooperation with the Museum für Naturkunde Chemnitz.

The grand opening is the Alles-mit-Apfel-Fest in the Tietz culture department stores'. More than thirty programme items will be presented on twelve stages. Highlights on all floors include the longest apple pie parade in the city, apple hymns, apple dances, a play zone with "serious games" as well as cooking and tasting apple dishes together. The programme is complemented by the exhibition "an apple a day" with collected apple recipes. The day's programme also includes a reunion with artists such as Lasca Fox and Angela Aux.
