The mining and gryphon town of Ehrenfriedersdorf can look back on a proud mining tradition dating back over 800 years. What is less well known, however, is that there was an international "Schallplatten & Sprechmaschinenfabrik" from 1930 to 1958. This fascinating but rather unknown piece of the city's history was brought back to life with this project. In the Capital of Culture year 2025, the project could be discovered throughout the year through a series of exciting events and sub-projects. It encompassed a variety of aspects, ranging from historical events in the town and the region, to a wide range of cultural and hands-on activities and major events. "Bergklang und Vinylzauber" offered a multi-faceted journey through the history and vibrant culture of Ehrenfriedersdorf.
