On the Whitsun weekend 07.06. & 08.06.25 the time has finally come! UWE opens its doors to flood the Striegistal with art, culture, music and living creativity. Two days full of international urban art, workshops, regional arts and crafts and a musical programme that leaves nothing to be desired.

For two days, the former Etzdorf substation, known as UWE, will be transformed into a large gallery whose walls will be decorated live by international artists and the public. Built in the 1920s, remodelled several times and used until the 2000s, it has been a place of creativity in the Striegistal valley for five years. Graffiti, stencils and murals are created between old switch cabinets. Anyone who wants to can build digital sculptures or screen print posters. A place of technological history becomes a walk-in work of art and a centre of attraction for makers from near and far.

Fuelled by RebelArt, the Striegistal will once again become a melting pot of urban art and creative energy with the UWE Festival 2025.

In two very lively creative weeks, around 35 artists from 6 countries once again transformed the Etzdorf substation into a vibrant creative laboratory. The rooms in the UWE literally glow with urban art, street art, sculpture, installation and performance.

Among others are: Björn Holzweg (Hamburg) Daria Dordina (Leipzig) Disturbanity Graphics (Berlin) Chiara Dahlem (Luxembourg) Element Art(Erzgebirge) GOSP (Leipzig) GOGI(Georgia) Guido ‘Rebelism7’ Günther (Chemnitz) Guido Zimmermann(Frankfurt) Gregorio Alvarez (Leipzig-Chile) HNRX(Austria) Janosch Müller (Stuttgart) Karolina Kempe(Döbeln) Lapiz (Hamburg) formatting. srt (Leipzig) Masholand (Georgia) MOW (Oelsnitz) Musya (Georgia) Nense Gomez (Berlin-Chile) Onebran(Athens/Greece) Ordinario (Cologne) Pablo (Georgia) petonka (Berlin) Phillip Eichhorn (Halle) Slex Nenskat (Plauen) TAMOONZ (Georgia) Toymaster Flash (Jena) TIEV (Leipzig) Vidam (Berlin)
