How do the parents and grandparents of Generation Z talk about the socialist era and their experiences after the end of the Soviet Union? A look at the neighbouring states of Poland and the Czech Republic highlights that not all forms of socialism were the same and that the various upheavals took different courses. An interactive exhibition brings together these experiences and memories through videos, objects and documents. It shows what influence the events at the time had on young people in eastern Germany and Europe. In addition to the exhibition, dialogue formats, performances and film will create a space for visitors to actively reflect on the history after the fall of the Berlin Wall and commemorative culture.
