Explore the Chemnitz garage landscape independently at ten locations
Take a walk along the garage trail and explore Chemnitz on your own. Stroll through the garage courtyard, look over the fence, find local stories and get into conversation with the people around you. There are bright yellow funnel-shaped information stations at the 10 locations, created by budding designers from Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. These present short stories and curious facts.
The garages themselves are not permanently open, as they are private spaces in use. The focus is not on the sights, but on the everyday: The garage trail invites you to get to know Chemnitz anew through its inconspicuous places. There is no fixed order, the tour can be started and ended at any station, whether on foot, by bike or by public transport.
