#3000Garages Trail

Explore the Chemnitz garage landscape independently at ten locations

With intermediate stops at ten stations, you can make your own way through Chemnitz garages - including one that may resemble your own, but also the high-rise garage built in 1928 and the vehicle shed of Villa Esche, probably the oldest garage in Chemnitz. The trail is both analogue and digital. Information boards and small-format objects at each station were created by design students at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. QR codes lead you to images and audio recordings that vividly convey the history of the garages, the people who use them and the city of Chemnitz.
