Location

Chemnitz, reception building of the former airport

As part of the ‘Kiosk of Unknowing’ project, a comic workshop invites everyone aged 14 and over to try their hand at writing their own stories and taking on the leading role themselves. No prior knowledge is required, and at the end of the workshop, participants can take home a zine they have designed themselves. Materials are provided.  The pop-up shop is no ordinary kiosk: it is a meeting place for residents and visitors. There is a varied programme every day except Wednesdays.

Illustrator Stephanie Brittnacher lives in Chemnitz and initiated ‘Raus aus Chemnitz?’ (Out of Chemnitz?) as an artistic project as part of Chemnitz 2025. Together with artists Ulrike Jänichen (Halle), Magdalena Kaszuba (Hamburg) and Tessa Astre (Oulu, Finland), she is creating a series of comics based on conversations – polyphonic and conceived from different perspectives.

Registration until 22 August 2025 at: hallo@rausauschemnitz.de
