Wood is a piece of nature, like water, wind and sunlight. No two pieces are ever the same, each one is special, sometimes idiosyncratic and can only be tamed to a limited extent. And every piece of wood contains a work of art that can be created by carving and turning, for example. This traditional craft is an integral part of the Ore Mountains, especially at Christmas time. In the creative workshop of wood sculptor and turner Lars Neubert in Schneeberg, you can try your hand at it. Everything here revolves around wood. With the right tools and under expert guidance, anyone interested can learn what they (and the wood) are made of.
