The exhibition presents installations, objects, films and documentation from workshops, residencies and field research on topics such as craft heritage, hybrid environmental practices, innovation with tradition and knowledge transfer.

After its first stop in Ljubljana, the two German partner institutions - the Dresden State Art Collections' Museum of Decorative Arts and the Schneeberg Faculty of Applied Arts at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau - are now bringing the extensive exhibition to the Ore Mountains and as an exhibition satellite to the art collections in Chemnitz.

In cooperation with the host KulturWerk Schneeberg e.V., which is integrating the exhibition into the Makers, Business & Arts programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, as well as SKICA Berlin - the Slovenian Cultural Information Centre Berlin and the Slovenian Tourist Board Germany, a vernissage with a special focus on Slovenia - in particular on Nova Gorica, which shares the title of European Capital of Culture with Chemnitz in 2025 - is being created. MADE IN Platform for Contemporary Crafts and Design is co-financed by the European Union.

You can look forward to an inspiring opening programme in terms of content, cuisine and music:
