In addition to works by Heinrich Schütz, Johann Sebastian Bach and Astor Piazzolla, among others, the composition "Aires Buenos de Paz" by Per Arne Glorvigen for five male voices and bandoneon will be performed, based on texts by Nobel Peace Prize winners Yitzak Rabin, Carl von Ossietzky, Willy Brandt, the Dalai Lama and Martin Luther King Jr.
The world-famous vocal ensemble Amarcord has been a regular guest at the concerts of the Sächsische Mozart-Gesellschaft e.V. for many years. As part of our Bidbook project "Moving Sounds - Concertina & Bandoneon", they are now coming to Chemnitz together with bandoneonist Per Arne Glorvigen to present a programme in the Schloßkirche that combines music from four centuries in a plea for peace:
"This is our answer to violence: to make music with greater intensity, beauty and devotion than ever before." Leonard Bernstein
