The Urban Art Tour is a participatory art project as part of Chemnitz 2025, in which visitors discover urban art in Chemnitz on a variety of guided tours - including graffiti, tape art, stick installations and much more. The tour not only takes you past exciting artistic locations, but also sheds light on fascinating places related to the history of the city of Chemnitz and its development.

Unique works of art created as part of the Wall of Femme - Urban Art Academy can be expected at selected stops in the Morgenleite, Altchemnitz and Kappel districts.

The special thing about it: People from a wide range of backgrounds have worked creatively with international and local artists to make a statement. Senior citizens over 80, young people with and without disabilities and people with a migration background have contributed their perspectives and created art together that connects and inspires.

The tours take place in different formats: by public transport and by bike - depending on the route and target group.

Language: German/simple language and English; sign language interpretation available on request

Important: The Urban Art Tour must be booked and registered in advance!

Microprojects

The micro-projects are intended to provide stimuli for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has been in place for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
