As part of the German Start-up Week, the Makerhub Werkbank32, together with partners from Central Saxony and the Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, is inviting founders, start-ups and companies to visualise the power of stories and collaborations. The topics range from the first start-up experiences to inspiring success stories and the opportunities created by innovative partnerships in a dynamic economy.

In keynotes, story sessions and interactive dialogues, experiences are shared that encourage and open up new perspectives. Best-practice examples from the region and beyond will show how cooperation can accelerate innovation and strengthen networks.

A special highlight of the event is the presentation of the Central Saxony Award by the Central Saxony Economic Development Agency, which honours outstanding collaborations. Who has been nominated? Find out here: Click!
There you will also find the voting, where you can help decide who wins with your vote.

The event thus sets an example for the Capital of Culture Region Chemnitz: as a place where creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and cooperation go hand in hand and stories are created that shape the future.

Makerhubs

Nine Makerhubs in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region will become places where people can learn from each other and create something new together. They are also places where designers, craftspeople, entrepreneurs, the next generation of skilled workers and makers from all over the world come together. Visitors and creative tourists can experience regional culture and traditions at workshops. The Makerhubs are part of the Makers, Business & Arts programme. This main project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 is all about promoting creative tourism offerings and cross-sector collaboration between industry and creative professionals. The project is being implemented by the Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH in cooperation with the Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e. V.
