Author Stefan Tschök is visiting all 38 cities and municipalities along the Purple Path in 2025. He will not only be presenting his book "What? Chemnitz?!", a tongue-in-cheek instruction manual for the Capital of Culture, but also wants to engage in dialogue with the residents: What do we actually get out of the Capital of Culture title locally? What are the benefits for us - and how can we get involved?

These questions are at the centre of the panel discussion, in which guests from the town always provide answers - as does the audience. Alongside Tschök, Mayor Albrecht Spindler will take a seat on the striking colourful bench not far from Jahnsdorf railway station and provide information.

Microprojects

The micro-projects are intended to provide stimuli for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has been in place for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
