Take a dip! Big Jump Chemnitz 2025 ~ Nordpark

The "Nordpark" intervention area on the Chemnitz River, completed by Chemnitz European Capital of Culture 2025, will be put into operation and celebrated as intended on the European River Bathing Day "Big Jump".

With the "Big Jump Chemnitz 2025", Chemnitz is taking part in the Europe-wide River Bathing Day for the first time - a symbolic start and call to use the newly created riverbanks of the intervention areas and immerse yourself in the natural water on site. We are in good company with over 60 other Big Jumps across Europe on 13 July.

On the agenda:

~ "We by the river" painting competition and crafts ~ Swing & jazz with Mr Music ~ Waffle ice cream

 

You will need: Picnic & blanket, swimwear, bathing shoes highly recommended. Games such as badminton can be brought along.

A Big Jump photo will be taken around 3 pm and will be published.

Microprojects

The micro-projects are intended to provide stimuli for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has been in place for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
