Following the opening concert, this is the second guest performance by the European Union Baroque Orchestra at the Silbermann Festival 2025. The EUBO will perform in the Stadtkirche Oederan with numerous talented Saxon youth choirs and four renowned soloists under the direction of Franziska Kuba. It will be a rousing concert by, with and for young people - in keeping with the festival concept of the Silbermann Festival 2025.
Franziska Kuba, who began her musical career in Leipzig and Weimar, is a passionate conductor with innovative concert formats. She brings choral music to a wide audience in a fresh and energetic way and knows how to bring everyone involved in Singt Bach! together.
Oederan, with its town church, lies on the region's former lifeline, the Dresden - Plauen railway line, and combines past and present, Saxon industrial history and baroque musical tradition, old and young. With the Silbermann organ at the centre of the church, this concert will be an unforgettable experience.
