LECTURE "New European Bauhaus lighthouse project: Liveable neighbourhoods for Neuperlach - Munich - Europe"
Martin Luce, Managing Director of the TUM School of Engineering and Design at the TU Munich
As part of the lighthouse project "Creating NEBourhoods Together", a team has been developing prototypes for a sustainable and liveable neighbourhood in Neuperlach, Munich, together with the local population in the spirit of the New European Bauhaus since 2022, creating solutions ranging from energy communities, shading architecture and animal-aided design, to the spatial expansion of residential buildings in need of renovation, to 3D-printed building envelopes as habitats for people, plants, animals and microorganisms. Martin Luce presents the most important experiences and results and shows the way to a climate and socially just neighbourhood - as a model for other European cities. He is Managing Director at the TUM School of Engineering and Design at the Technical University of Munich.

From 20:30
EXCHANGE + NETWORKING
Our festival would also like to provide space for informal dialogue on questions of sustainable building culture. With this in mind, everyone is cordially invited to exchange ideas and make new contacts over a drink from our festival bar, inspired by the inputs of the day.
