re:generation Conference 2025

Since 2022, the Chemnitz 2025 Generation team and numerous project partners have been working on generation-specific cultural projects. At the end of the Capital of Culture year, we take stock: What experiences have been gained? How can these impulses be carried into the future? The event will also look at the question: Was Chemnitz able to incorporate its special role as a pioneer in demographic change into the programme of the European Capital of Culture year?

Team Generation will address these topics together with project partners and interested visitors at the third edition of the re:generation conference. The focus will be on a review of the Chemnitz2025 Generation programme and a discussion of what impetus it can provide for the future of the cultural region.

Visitors can expect keynote speeches, panel discussions and an open dialogue. The conference will take place on 14 November, 2 pm - 2 pm, in the Hartmannfabrik.

• 14:00 - Welcome by TEAM GENERATION
• 14:30 - Review & insights: TEAM GENERATION in dialogue
• 15:00 - Workshop phase
  • Workshop I: Lessons learnt - Generation projects in retrospect 
    Reflection on successes, hurdles and insights. Result: Toolkit for future projects
  • Workshop II: Future after 2025 - What's next? 
    Scenario work on future roles of intergenerational projects and participation structures
• 16:30 - Coffee break & space for discussion
• 17:00 - Presentation of the workshop results + review & outlook: The booklet on intergenerational projects
• 18:00 - Panel discussion: "Demographic change as an opportunity - learnings from Chemnitz 2025 for intergenerational work "
• 19:30 - Get-together & finale with bar, buffet and record picnic
