Friedrich Press, who chose to live in Dresden, is regarded as an artistic maverick with a symbolic formal language. The exhibition section in St Jakobi provides an overview of the development and diversity of his work. In St. Johannes Nepomuk, a selection of sculptures shows the artist's view of the human being between brokenness and security. Photos provide insights into his design of numerous church interiors in East Germany. Complementary works by Friedrich Press can be seen in the e.artis gallery. Prints and a catalogue will be available for purchase.
