Podium: Against voids of memory - look, remember, act

What stories are missing in the memory of those persecuted by the Nazis? Two 3D sculptures in Chemnitz show creative remembrance projects. To conclude: panels with experts, initiatives & space for dialogue and new ideas.

A commemorative impulse on continuities of racism

Which stories of victims of Nazi persecution are known - and which are missing? How does our memory influence whether exclusion is recognised today - or overlooked? These questions will soon be addressed by two striking, geometric 3D sculptures - polygons - at central locations in Chemnitz. From June 19 to 27, the artistic objects of the Remembrance, Responsibility and Future Foundation will present a selection of creative projects that deal with the present of remembrance.

At the end of this exhibition in public space on June 26, there will be three panel discussions with experts and committed individuals, exciting insights into remembrance projects and Chemnitz initiatives and the opportunity to talk to experts. An evening that provides inspiration - and creates space to become active yourself.
