The Limbach-Oberfrohna Fruit Growers' Association plants five apple trees in one of the intervention areas of the Purple Path. Nestled between the artworks "Labor einer Streuobstwiese" by Gabriele Oberkofler and "Delicious Monster" by Hoda Tewakol, art and nature come together on this day: while the new works are opened, a piece of living neighbourhood is created next to them.

GELEBTE NACHBARSCHAFT is a main project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, focussing on sustainability and a green city. Joint planting campaigns bring neighbourhoods in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region closer together.
