Every two years, young organists from all over the world showcase their skills on Gottfried Silbermann's outstanding baroque organs at the International Gottfried Silbermann Organ Competition and experience the authentic sound cosmos of historical instruments.

The encounter with renowned artists and an enthusiastic audience opens doors and makes this competition a memorable experience. The competition is dedicated to the famous organ builder Gottfried Silbermann, who 300 years ago created a unique organ landscape in Freiberg, large parts of which have been preserved to this day.
