In the context of 'haamit heimaten', caring for a liveable environment also applies to the time after the Capital of Culture. Foundation expert Kathrin Succow advises planting partner institutions in the main Living Neighbourhood project under the title "On the road for a good cause: fundraising for public welfare-oriented projects of the heart after 2025". How can resources be organised with regard to the 12-year maintenance obligation for planted apple trees and how can sustainable tree care succeed after the Capital of Culture year? In line with these questions, this workshop will focus on networking and structuring resilient partnerships as well as practical exercises for submitting applications.

An offer for planting partner organisations, please register stating your name, role in the planting partner organisation, planting location and date.

The heimaten network is an initiative of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt within the framework of heimaten, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media on the basis of a resolution of the German Bundestag.

Registration required by 15.09.2025 by email to: pflanzen@chemnitz2025.de.  Priority is given to planting partner institutions in the Gelebte Nachbarschaft programme.
