Curious about material, craft & process?
KulturWerk Schneeberg e.V. invites you to a special workshop with the Slovenian designer and ceramist Rok Oblak(Salto Dionys, Ljubljana) as part of the international exhibition MADE IN - Future Legacies.
The workshop offers the opportunity to discover clay in a new way: Rok Oblak shows how the material comes to life through pressure, form and material flow. With a mobile clay press, specially developed tools and a good dose of experimentation, individual candle holders are created from air-drying clay - without the need for a kiln.
Structures, coincidences and creative processes become visible when making, moulding and trying things out together.
The workshop is part of the international exhibition MADE IN - Future Legacies, which brings together crafts, design and research from six European countries. Innovative materials, craft techniques and new ways of transforming cultural heritage into a sustainable future will be on show.
The workshop is supported by the Slovenian Cultural Information Centre Berlin (SKICA Berlin), the Slovenian Tourist Board Germany and the Makers, Business & Arts programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
