The LOOP Festival cordially invites all generations to an inspiring weekend dedicated entirely to the theme of mesh.

The event starts on Friday with a festive opening accompanied by an impressive performance by artist Wiete Sommer. Afterwards, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the museum while music and light installations create a unique atmosphere.

On Saturday , various mini-workshops lasting a maximum of one hour will be offered throughout the day. There will also be a pop-up shop and various interactive and information stations. A knitwear swap will enable visitors to swap their clothes sustainably. There will also be a book presentation and reading of the children's book "Hunderunde - Wie weit wir für unsere Kleidung gehen" by lokaltextil. The workshop "The Sock Debate" with the artist Aïcha Abbadi is sure to be a hit. You can knit together in the outdoor area. There will be an opportunity to see the Kniterate knitting machine in action. In the evening, the museum will once again be atmospheric with Sound & Light. We'll also let the knitting needles play and look forward to an evening together.

On Sunday , visitors can look forward to various specialised workshops lasting more than an hour. The Kniterate knitting machine will also be active on this day. The two artists will continue their hands-on activities in the outdoor area. Various specialist lectures on textiles, sustainability and Makerhub are planned. A pop-up shop and other hands-on stations, including a knitting fairy workshop in the museum area, round off the programme.
