"The Chemnitz River should live again!" was written on the protest banner of environmentalists in 1990. This walk traces the ecosystem and the development of the Chemnitz. Participants will also learn more about renaturalisation, explore its diverse inhabitants and finally dip their feet in the cool water themselves.

The walk starts at the orchard meadow in the Apfelstadtpark and ends at the former Altchemnitz outdoor pool (approx. 3 km).
