With a great panoramic view, the kites can fly well in the open field! You are welcome to bring your own kites so that you can marvel at a colourful selection!

With coffee, cake and ice cream from the grandiose Kaffeeflitzer, music and target spraying by the Erfenschlag volunteer fire brigade, World Children's Day will be a colourful afternoon for young and old on the largest intervention area in the Capital of Culture Chemnitz.

Making kites together!

The B-Plan children's and youth centre and the schools and daycare centres in the BPF area are offering kite-making workshops in September. Dates and locations will be announced in good time via notice boards, the internet and Instagram. There will also be a last-minute craft workshop on site for the festival.

Meeting point: Wetterpilz Pfarrhübel on the Höhenweg 2025 cultural trail (Altchemnitz terminus --> Straße zum Pfarrhübel or Erfenschlag-Mitte stop, Straße Am Gutsberg)

Microprojects

The micro-projects are intended to provide stimuli for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has been in place for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
