Since its foundation in 2020, the Chemnitz band JETBerry, consisting of Marie (vocals, guitar), Florian (piano, guitar, vocals), Janik (drums, producing) and Josi (bass, trumpet, vocals, guitar), has set itself the goal of providing Chemnitz and the surrounding region with fresh, handmade live music. With an extensive repertoire of covers of various genres as well as a constantly growing stock of original songs, the band is equipped for any kind of event, be it a private birthday party, a live gig in a pub or higher-profile events such as a conference of the Saxon Chamber of Pharmacists. The JETBerry sound is essentially anchored in indie pop, but is strongly characterised by numerous influences from jazz, funk and fusion. The result of this combination is a musical experience that carves out its very own niche.
In addition to live performances, JETBerry is also becoming increasingly active in the studio. After a few individual releases of covers and originals on YouTube and Spotify, another milestone in the band's history is set for 2025 with the release of JETBerry's first EP "Fairytales".
As part of the Capital of Culture project "Kamenica Musica", the Chemnitz-based band JETBerry and the Chomutov, CZ-based singer and flutist Kristýna Jarošová will introduce themselves. It will be an entertaining evening full of handmade live music - a pop sound that mixes influences from jazz, soul and fusion.
