How can fashion become a shared experience, regardless of whether you can see or feel?
The "Inclusive fashion for all" workshop invites blind, visually impaired and sighted people to design and experience fashion in a new way. Together, they create garments with tactile Braille embroidery - fashion that connects and makes visible what otherwise often goes unnoticed.

Under the guidance of master embroiderer Antje Müller, the participants develop short messages that are transferred to fabrics in Braille. This results in individualised pieces that combine design and inclusion in a special way.

Those who wish can bring their own items of clothing; alternatively, second-hand textiles will be available for further processing in the workshop. At the end, the results will be shown in a small exhibition or walk-in fashion show, a shared moment that celebrates creativity, encounters and participation.

Please note: Please bring one or two items of smooth clothing, for example a T-shirt or tie.

The workshop is funded as part of the Chemnitz 2025 micro-project fund.

Microprojects

The micro-projects are intended to provide stimuli for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has been in place for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
