Inauguration: "Laboratory of a meadow orchard" by Gabriela Oberkofler

On 21 November 2025 at 12 noon, the artwork "Laboratory of a meadow orchard" will be inaugurated as part of the PURPLE PATH art and sculpture trail.

Gabriela Oberkofler (*1975, Bolzano, Italy) visualises the sensitive connections between ecosystems and social structures as well as the transformation of natural and cultural sites by planting indoor and outdoor spaces. In her laboratory of an orchard meadow, historical apple varieties and forgotten crops grow in raised beds from the artist's seed archive. Her work conveys confidence in the possibility of reconciling people and nature as well as the past and the future.

The inauguration of the work will be accompanied by the following programme:
10-12 a.m. Planting campaign "Laboratory of a meadow orchard" by the artist Gabriela Oberkofler with the support of the flagship project "Gelebte Nachbarschaft" and the Goethe primary school Limbach-Oberfrohna
12 noon Ceremonial inauguration: Gabriela Oberkofler - "Laboratory of a meadow orchard"
1 p.m. inauguration ceremony: Hoda Tawakol - "Delicious Monster"
