Welcome to the Mia & Emil workshop
The Mia & Emil project is a modular installation that grows through collaborative building and design. In open workshops, individually designed wooden modules are created under guidance, which can be flexibly assembled in the room - to form a mobile bar.
Children, young people and adults work together. The construction method is simple, but versatile - there are different levels of difficulty so that everyone can take part, regardless of age or manual experience.
Workshop programme
Drawing, measuring, sawing, drilling, screwing and painting are carried out in several manual steps. The result is a walk-in sculpture that functions as a mobile bar and meeting point.
Come along and we'll build your bar for Augustusburg together! We look forward to seeing you! At the end, the bar will be inaugurated with you at a party - with lemonade, music and lots of good humour.
The workshop leaders:
Armin Etschmann lives and works as an artist in Linz, Vienna and in situ. His work focuses on participative processes with an emphasis on sculpture. His approach scrutinises traditional forms of representation. In doing so, he also creates spaces for social processes.
Patrick Molnar is a designer specialising in web design, conception and editorial. In addition to his work as a designer, he is interested in urban development and interdisciplinary workshops.
Fabian Knöbl is an artist working with cross-media and cross-disciplinary forms of expression. Fabian works in the fields of drawing, installation and conceptual approaches. He endeavours to build spaces for thought that are effective far beyond the visual event.
