Numerous tree sponsors have been found in Thalheim who are enthusiastic about planting and want to make their neighbourhood greener. A meadow orchard of old and rare apple tree varieties is being created opposite the "Rentners Ruh" club grounds. The Thalheim primary school, the Montessori primary school, the "Drei-Tannen-Hort" daycare centre, the "Kinderland" daycare centre, the "Bienenkorb" daycare centre, the Rentners Ruh craft group and the Tholm Foundation are all involved. It's going to be colourful!

At the final planting festival of Gelebte Nachbarschaft, hundreds of apple trees will be planted together in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region from 19 to 26 October 2025.

Get to work, grab a spade and plant the future!
