Lugau is getting fruity in two places: an apple tree is being added to the playground in the Ursprung district. In addition, the orchard in the Erlbach-Kirchberg district is being expanded - with the support of the Lugau hunting co-operative, 15 apple trees of rare varieties are being added. The meeting point is in the centre of Fürstenweg, from where we will walk together to the orchard meadow. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
At the final planting festival of Gelebte Nachbarschaft, hundreds of apple trees will be planted together in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region from 19 to 26 October 2025.
