How can wood revolutionise industrial processes? And what happens when technical expertise meets one of the oldest materials in the world?

Guided factory tours at ligenium show how real high-tech solutions for industry are created from wood - from modular load carriers and ergonomic workstation systems to autonomous transport systems.

The ligenium team develops and manufactures customised solutions from renewable raw materials with a wealth of experience and innovative spirit - lightweight, flexible and ready for the demands of modern production and logistics.

This tour explains why wood can do more than many people think, how lightweight construction, sustainability and efficiency interact and which ideas are already on the factory floors of tomorrow.

A visit is worthwhile for anyone who wants to rethink industry - with a material that surprises and a team that redefines it.

Tales of Transformation

In its major exhibition ‘Tales of Transformation’, the Industriemuseum Chemnitz compares the development of former industrial hotspots: Chemnitz, Gabrovo, Łódź, Manchester, Mulhouse and Tampere. The exhibition sheds light on the impulses for the future coming from these cities and what they can learn from each other: rapid growth and splendid wealth paired with precarious living conditions - later a radical collapse and the necessary reinvention. The exhibition is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
