Creative start-ups, sustainable impact: (start-up) ideas from Chemnitz and East Germany for Europe and the world
Sustainably committed? The Ideas Garage makes it possible!
The motto is: ‘Start creatively, have a sustainable impact’.
Solutions are sought for important social issues. These include, for example, equal opportunities for all and why people should stay in the region. Small teams work on creative solutions and present them at the end. The best ideas are honoured and there is the possibility of support and implementation through a place on the in-house scholarship.
The aim is to strengthen the creative and sustainable maker spirit in the region and make it known in Europe and the world.
These ideas are developed using the Social Hackathon method. The focus is on projects from Chemnitz and eastern Germany that not only strengthen the local economy. They should also be sustainable and make a difference in Europe and the world.

Ideas speed dating: get to know lots of exciting projects quickly and exchange ideas - it's very straightforward!
Garage moments: founders and entrepreneurs talk about their best success stories.
Founder stands: Scholarship holders present their start-up ideas here.
Children's garage: Even the little ones get their money's worth! With popcorn, soap bubbles, face painting, tattoos, glitter and colouring, there is plenty of fun to be had. There is also an area for breastfeeding and nappy changing.

Gründungsgarage Chemnitz is a driver for social entrepreneurship, social dialogue and creative, collaborative impulses. We raise awareness of social and sustainable issues and help people to orientate their lives and work towards their own values and the future.
