Every two years, young organists from all over the world demonstrate their skills on Silbermann's baroque organs at the International Gottfried Silbermann Organ Competition and experience the authentic sound of historical instruments.

The competition is dedicated to the famous organ builder Gottfried Silbermann, who 300 years ago created a unique organ landscape in Freiberg, large parts of which have been preserved to this day.
