Imaging procedures and their equipment are available to medical staff as an aid to knowledge. The sense of sight and its physical extension, photography, promise a high degree of rationality. At the invitation of Chemnitz Hospital, photographer Felix Bielmeier has spent six months developing a work that visualises what the public does not perceive. Medical work and patient care are at the centre of his exploration - as well as a reflection on aesthetic boundaries and the ambivalent possibilities of the photographic image between information and social practice.
