11 years of Fête de la Musique Chemnitz in the European Capital of Culture
The Fête de la Musique welcomes summer to the city once again - and for the 11th time!
On 21 June, just in time for the start of the weekend, a musical programme with musicians from various genres and cultural backgrounds will begin on the stages in the city centre. The entire programme will be published in advance on the website. In between, spread throughout the entire area of Chemnitz city centre, the street musician squares complete the musical programme - there is hardly a place at the Fête de la Musique without music, dance or performance.
In the spirit of its inventor Jack Lang, the Fête does not charge admission. However, you should bring some money for the small food mile and drinks. Here, restaurateurs from the city present themselves and make sure that nobody has to go hungry.
In the spirit of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz2025, the Fête de la Musique will be extended into the Capital of Culture region, which can be viewed and heard with curious eyes and ears.
