Jazz musician Till Brönner has also made a name for himself as a photographer. A few years ago, he travelled to the Ruhr area and took portraits of the former mining and industrial region on behalf of the foundation Brost-Stiftung. You can see miners with coal-smeared faces at the end of their shift and smoking chimneys towering into the sky, bathed in an unreal yellow light. A selection of Brönner's works can be seen at KohleWelt, the museum of the Saxon coal mining industry. As part of a former mine, its buildings are themselves contemporary witnesses, because without coal, Saxony's industrialisation would hardly have been possible.

Opening of the exhibition: 13.04. at 5pm.
