Exchange campaign: Kiosk of shared memories

A kiosk is more than just a place to shop. Many people remember it from their childhood - as a kiosk or late-night shop on the way to school or on the corner. This is where people met, bought sweets or exchanged a few words with the shop assistant. A kiosk is a place for fleeting encounters - and little surprises.

At the "Kiosk of fleeting memories", visitors exchange personal memories.

They can bring along an object - such as an old photo, a souvenir or a found object from a trip - and then the story behind it is told. Those who leave something behind don't just take another object with them, but also the story that is linked to it. The focus is therefore not on the object itself, but on what it tells - the memory stored in it.

By (co-)sharing these stories, memories come alive and people start talking to each other. This creates a space for empathy, understanding and sometimes surprising similarities.

Like a living archive, a collective memory grows through collecting and exhibiting - lived diversity, made tangible. History becomes tangible - for today and for future generations.

The event will be held partly in German and partly in English.
