"Where do I come from? And where do you come from?
What do I carry within me and on me?
What is mine and alien to you? What do we share?
AND:
Do all these questions give rise to an encounter, a dialogue?"

De:Oriento - the festival for modern culture of the first civilisations invites you to change your perspective for the second time: through texts, performances, scenes, songs, pictures, paintings, food, dance and music, experience what it means to feel foreign in your own country. Experience what it means to never fully belong, so that a feeling of home does not materialise.

De:Oriento - from the East, committing to exchange, bringing cultures into resonance, upholding similarities as well as contradictions, living multilingualism, allowing ambiguity, rediscovering and strengthening connections - sharing intimate moments.

De:Oriento - questioning clichés, colonial and other projections between the West and the East, bringing the so-called Occident and Orient into encounter, liquefying and moulding them into new forms, then melting them down again on the basis of stories lived together in order to write new experiences - horizons regained!

De:Oriento - losing oneself and finding oneself again - all under the sign of disorientation and relocalisation under new auspices. You become us, you become us, you become you! - Come and share this new dance with me!
