Deep Listening Day - Concert

A concert dedicated to subtle sounds, attentive listening and expanded perception. Three electronic live sets between ambient and sound art, in the open air on the Vetterstraße site.

The lovely people from Subbotnik will provide drinks and food for a donation. The entire Vetterstraße area will be transformed not only into a listening space but also a meeting place. Together, this empty space will be revitalised and transformed into a place for special experiences.

The concert evening is the second part of the Deep Listening Day at Subbotnik Chemnitz - it will be preceded by a free listening and perception workshop, which you can register for here ->.

Klara Spunk (*1992 in Chemnitz) is a freelance composer, media artist and graphic designer in Leipzig and has been active since 2018 with electro-acoustic live sets on festival and theatre stages, but also as a composer for sound pieces of some installations and soundtracks. She moves between pop and experimentation, based on familiar synth pads, field recordings and alienated voices on the edge of intelligibility.

The Chemnitz-based DJ and producer combines a club-orientated approach with experimental electronic music, drawing inspiration from both contemporary and classic pop music. As a member of the multimedia collective @nonirritating, [to:n] has participated in several events and released EPs in various formations.

Heinrich Lenz is a musician and sound artist from Cologne. His work focuses on music for altered states of consciousness, his music is characterised by large-scale, constantly changing structures and detailed sound work. He combines natural sounds, synthesiser pads and the sounds of everyday objects to create a surrealistic, immersive melange.

The micro-projects are intended to provide stimuli for new cultural formats or encounters in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture Region. The broad urban and regional society is called upon to create forms of communication and social interaction. The funding programme has been in place for several years and is part of the main programme of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.
