Discrimination, racism and social exclusion characterise individual and collective experiences. The "Creative Tools" workshop series offers a space to creatively express these experiences through art, music, video or dance and to make stories visible. We work in a participatory way, with participants actively shaping personal and collective memories and thereby connecting the past, present and future.
You can expect the following in the workshop:
Theory | Introduction to the NSU complex, orientalism-theoretical perspectives (according to Edward Said), murderous identities (according to Amin Maalouf) and subalternity (according to Gayatri Spivak).
Exhibition | Guided tour of the "Open Trial" exhibition, in which the stories and realities of the victims of the NSU complex and their relatives are conveyed
Creative work | Participants develop individual or collaborative projects and learn tools for their own expression.
