It is a cherished tradition of the Silbermann Festival to bring the festival to an atmospheric close with a boys' choir. This year, our audience can look forward to a special highlight, as the renowned Hanover Boys' Choir under the direction of Jörg Breiding will be performing in Freiberg for the first time. This award-winning choir is known for its exceptional sound and wide-ranging repertoire, which includes works from the Venetian polychoral repertoire, Schütz and Bach, as well as contemporary compositions.

The cathedral's Silbermann organs, which are played by the winners of the XVII International Gottfried Silbermann Organ Competition, offer a further tonal experience.

Boys' choir and organ music - an enchanting finale to the Silbermann Days. A musical highlight that will resonate for a long time to come!
