On Saturday, 30 August 2025, Fabrikstraße next to the Hartmannfabrik will become the city's largest canvas from 2 to 5 pm. Together with young and old artists, we will transform the asphalt into a colourful community artwork.

The event will take place at the same time as Kamenica Musica's "Chemnitz tanzt" event, which offers a varied dance programme for the whole family in front of the Hartmannfabrik. While people dance on the stage, children, families and all creative minds can bring their ideas, dreams and pictures to life with chalk.

Supported by an experienced artist and volunteers, colourful motifs are created on an area of around 240 square metres, which ultimately result in a harmonious work of art.

Participation is free of charge and registration is not required. All children from 0 to 99 years are welcome - just come along, grab your chalk and join in.

In bad weather, we invite you to the Hartmannfabrik for the "Chemnitz tanzt!" dance programme.
