"Thoughts are free." The song was sung in German and Estonian in Estonia in 1989 and 1990 - similar songs were sung at demonstrations in East Germany and Bulgaria. S.O.S. by Silly resounded through the GDR.

The carillon music between 10.00 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. makes pieces like these audible again. The panel at 5 p.m.  invites you to debate the concept of freedom - video sequences bring the conditions of the time to life. The former German ambassador to Estonia and two journalists from Estonia and Bulgaria will be taking part.
